Latest news in red
WILL TO LIVE has a new bassist. After a long and damn near surgical
search, Will to live is happy to welcome Gabriel Wells to the Will to
live
family. Gabe has been around the punk rock, hardcore and metal scenes
for
some years now and him and his girlfriend Britt have been pilars to the
houston and TXHC scene through assisting us to promote and set up shows
and well as promoting and setting up shows on their own over the past
couple of years. We're all thrilled to have Gabe in the band not only
because he has the skill to play, but because he is a great human
being,
which is a far more important requisite to be in Will to live than
talent.
The moment we started seriously considering him, we knew Gabe had the
drive, heart and enthusiasm that we were looking for . . . and the rest
is
history.
When will you get to see Gabe playing with us? Well, unfortunately it
will be a couple of months, as he will be out of Houston for at least 2
months . . . however . . . worry not . . . our old bassist (now booking
agent) Danny will fill in (as long as his schedule allows) for any
shows
that we hook up with until Gabe gets back.
On other news, our CD recording was postponed last month due to
scheduling
problems and the recording will be finally resumed in the next 2 weeks.
So definitely stay tunned for more news on that.
Will to live is about to enter the studio to record their long awaited 1st full length.
The band is excited and promises to deliver nothing but the heaviest and most intense
full length in Texas Hardcore history. Expect a summer release.
After being in bands as a bassist since 1989, Danny Perez has decided it's time to put his bass
to rest and has decided at this point he can best help Will to live and the
Texas Hardcore scene through doing booking and giving the scene exposure by
means of his job as a journalist. Since Danny has moved on as full time booking
for Will to live, all booking will still go through him. We respect his decision
and wish him, his wife and kids the best. Most of all, we're glad he's staying
involved with the band.
